Felicita Lipa Ortiz

Felicita ""Lipa"" Ortiz, 74, wife of the late Santos Ortiz, of Hartford, formerly of Holyoke, MA, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012. Born on February 21, 1938, in Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Margara (Gonzalez) Rivera, and worked as a seamstress. She was a member of the House of Restoration Church in Hartford. Lipa is survived by her five children: Luis Ortiz of New Britain, Marelyn Garcia of Holyoke, MA, Alicia Ortiz of Holyoke, MA, Olga Iris Ortiz of Hartford and Carmen Gloria Ortiz of Puerto Rico; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Ramon Rivera, Ismael Rivera and Justo Rivera, all of Hartford, and Daniel Rivera of Puerto Rico; her sisters: Tomasa Rivera of Puerto Rico, Estebania Rivera, Josefa Rivera, Santiaga Rivera and Juana Rivera, all of Hartford; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 20th, at 11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
