
Felix J. Stavola, 99, of Farmington, beloved husband of the late Lucy (Martino) Stavola, died Sunday, (January 28, 2007) at home. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late John and Rose (Feminella) Stavola and lived in West Hartford for many years before moving to Farmington in 1994. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated the Farmington Avenue Cleaners in Unionville for 55 years and with his late son Nicholas expanded the business to over four locations in the Farmington Valley. He was longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, Uncas Council # 32, Unionville. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Rosanne and Joseph W. Sparveri of Niantic, his daughters-in-law, Dorothy Stavola of Florida, Judith Stavola of West Hartford and Sylvia Stavola of Hartford, nine grandchildren; Beth Ann Stavola of Hartford, John J. Stavola, Jr. of Glastonbury, Dr. Joseph J. Stavola of Pelham, NY, Dr. Patrice Gillotti of West Redding, Joseph W. Sparveri, Jr. of Avon, Darlene Cirilli of Farmington, Mari-Beth DeLucco of West Hartford, Felix J. Stavola, II of Burlington and Lee Ann Stavola of Farmington and fifteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his two sons, Nicholas F. Stavola and Dr. John J. Stavola and his siblings, Mary Stefano, Francis J. Stavola, Rose M. Zazzaro and Doris Uricchio. The family would like to thank his devoted and dedicated caregivers, Elinor Krol, Helen Kania, Barbara Golaszewski and Marian Licewka. The family would also like to thank the staff at Village Gate Apartments where Felix resided for 14 years for their high level of service and their kindness. The funeral is Wednesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Claver Church, West Hartford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the Dr. John J.
