Filomena Zita Figueiredo

Filomena Zita (Lopes) Figueiredo, 68, of Wethersfield, beloved wife for 49 years of Armando Figueiredo, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford with her loving family by her side. Born in São Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal on April 4, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Jose da Costa Lopes and Maria Eulalia Lopes. Filomena devoted her life to raising her family. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was a skilled seamstress. A kind and generous woman, she always put everyone’s needs before her own and never said an unkind word about anyone.

In addition to her devoted husband Armando, Filomena will be forever missed by her four children, Shelly Figueiredo, Danny Figueiredo, Susan Figueiredo and Mark Figueiredo and wife Brittany and her five adored grandchildren who brought her so much joy, Amanda, Lexi, Evan, Lauren and Riley. She is also survived by her brother, Joao Brito Lopes and wife Maria, as well as many

extended family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane Street, Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
