

Frances (Kadel) Villano, 80, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Joseph A. Villano for 56 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, (January 1, 2009) at the Hospice Center of Middlesex Hospital. She had been a resident of Water's Edge in Middletown for almost one year. Frances was born in Shenandoah, PA, on October 23, 1928, daughter of Charlotte (Rukowicz) Kadel of Southington and the late Charles Kadel. She was a resident of Wethersfield for 44 years and worked for 10 years at G. Fox as a bridal registrar, retiring in 1987. She and Joseph were long time parishioners of St. Luke's Church in Hartford and enjoyed traveling in the USA and Canada. Her favorite trip was cruising to Bermuda on her 50th wedding anniversary with her husband, children and grandchildren. Frances enjoyed embroidery, reading mystery novels, solving puzzles, baking for and spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind her daughter, Catherine Berey and her husband David of South Glastonbury; and her son, Vincent Villano of Wethersfield; her grandchildren, Christina Berey, Nicholas Berey, Benjamin Berey, and Michael Villano and his mother Theresa Conneely of Wethersfield. Frances is also survived by her brother, Leonard Kadel of West Hartford and two sisters, Theresa Brajczewski and her husband Adam of Wethersfield and Joan LaRose of Southington, as well as her aunt Wanda Shemo of Clinton, Uncle Al Rukowicz of Wethersfield, brother-in-law Maurice Villano and wife Diane of Lewiston, PA; sister-in-law Gloria Murzin of Wethersfield, and many loving nieces and nephews. Frances was a most loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will never be forgotten by her family, relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will leave Tuesday, January 6, at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke's Church, 66 Bolton St, Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Monday, 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
