

Francesco “Frank” Caccamo, 83, beloved husband to Rosalba (Stella) Caccamo, peacefully passed away, Saturday, February 15, 2025. Born, February 8, 1942, and raised in Floridia, Sicily, he was one of nine children of the late Vincenzo and Lucia (Russo) Caccamo. Francesco emigrated to the United States on December 24th, 1971, to start a new beginning in America with Rosalba. Francesco, a quality, hardworking carpenter and mason, began and grew his own contracting business, Frank’s Home Improvement, which he and Rosalba operated for decades.
Along with being an adoring husband, Francesco was a generous, caring, dutiful, father, grandfather, and brother, who cherished his family, and the time spent together. He was a longtime member of the Floridian Society and the Italian American Club, both in Hartford, CT. Francesco enjoyed dancing, playing cards, watching westerns and enjoying a good meal with his family.
In addition to his wife Rosalba, Francesco will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his three children, Frank Caccamo of Newington, Vincent Joseph Caccamo of Marlborough, and Lucinda (Caccamo) Charlow and Patrick Charlow, of Berlin; four adored grandchildren, Jordan and Bailey Charlow of Berlin, and Angelo and Dante Caccamo of Marlborough; as well as his five sisters, Giuseppa (Caccamo) Pizzo in Australia, Dora (Caccamo) Latina, Maria (Caccamo) Scalora, Luciana (Caccamo) Lucca, and Antonella (Caccamo) Indomenico, all in Floridia, Sicily. In addition to his parents, Francesco was predeceased by his three brothers, Salvatore, Concetto, and Antonio Caccamo. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
