Frederick "Fred" E. DiNardi, Jr.

Frederick “Fred” E. DiNardi Jr., of Rocky Hill, beloved husband of the late Susan (Domenick) DiNardi, entered into rest on August 31, 2025. He was born on November 30, 1941 in Hartford and was the son of the late Frederick E. DiNardi Sr., and devoted son to the late Elizabeth Dower Shaw.

Fred proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. He was a retired Hartford Firefighter and a Connecticut State Marshal. Fred was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Veteran Fireman’s Association, St. Florian Firefighter’s Association, Hartford Firefighter’s Retired Association, Fireman’s Protective Association, Rocky Hill Democratic Town Committee, The Peter P. Monaco Jr., Detachment 40 and Glastonbury Elks Lodge #2202.

Fred will always be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was sadly predeceased by his beloved son, Daniel in 2012 and his wife, Susan in 2022. He has left to grieve, his loving son, Frederick “Rick” E. DiNardi, III of Glastonbury; his four cherished grandchildren, Ethan James, Michaela Giovannina, Nicholas Domenick and Gabriella Maria; his brother-in-law, David Lynch, Sr.; his nephews and nieces, David Lynch, Jr., Josie Peltz and Ellis Lynch of San Anselmo, CA and Richard, Anne and Matthew Lynch of Glastonbury and a host of family and friends, among which a very special cousin, Mary Gray and her husband Richard and a dear friend, Peter Pizzola and his wife Barbara. He was also predeceased by his sister-in-law, Francine Domenick Lynch and his lifelong friend, Richard Formica.

A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, September 10 from 4 -7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel – with his Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 11. Burial with military honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury, where he will be laid to rest near his son and wife.
