

Giuseppe Misseri, 80, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Concetta (Miano) Misseri, passed away Saturday, (February 21, 2009). He was born October 10, 1928 in Canicattini Bagni, province of Siracusa, Italy, the son of the late Paolo and Concetta (Gallo) Misseri. Giuseppe was the owner and operator of the Allegro Café on Franklin Avenue in Hartford for 35 years. He was a member of many local organizations including the Canicattinese Society and the Italian American Stars. Giuseppe had also lived in Venezuela for many years. Besides wife Concetta, he is survived by a son Paolo Misseri of Wethersfield; a daughter Silvia Speziale and her husband John of Wethersfield; a brother Paolo Misseri and his wife Rosa of Wethersfield; three sisters Concettina Gazzara of Newington, Michaela 'Lina' Milikowski and her husband John of Wethersfield and Sebastiana Patane of Newington. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Giuseppe and Jennifer Misseri and John Joseph Speziale, III. Funeral Services will leave Tuesday, February 24 at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in The Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield.
