Grace (Bongiovanni) DelCiampo

Grace (Bongiovanni) DelCiampo, 83, of Berlin, formerly of East Harford, loving wife of the late Joseph A. DelCiampo, died peacefully, Monday, June 6, 2016 at Bel-Air Manor, Newington. She was born February 4, 1933 in Hartford and was the daughter of the late Victor and Josephine (Brullo) Bongiovanni. She was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, class of 1951. Grace was retired from Travelers Insurance Co. She was a member of the East Hartford Women’s and Garden Clubs. She was also active with the Hartford Public High School alumni committee organizing reunions. She enjoyed spending time with her family enjoying picnics, time by the pool and holidays. She and Joe also enjoyed the time spent at their Florida home. A loving mother and grandmother, Grace will be dearly missed by her children, son Anthony DelCiampo and wife Palma of San Antonio, TX, daughter Joanne K. Lynch of Vernon, son David A. DelCiampo of Clinton and son Joseph DelCiampo of Lantana, FL and her 11 adored grandchildren, Jason Reynolds, Josh DelCiampo, Michaela Smith, Misty DelCiampo, Daniel Lynch, Matthew Lynch, Megan Lynch, Charisse Sankow and husband Chad, Nicholas DelCiampo, Joseph DelCiampo and David DelCiampo. She is also survived by her sister, Rosemarie Kunz and husband John of Manchester; her brother, Joseph Bongiovanni and wife Pam of Rocky Hill, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. Please go directly to the church. The burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
