It is with great sadness that I receive this news. Pizza Parlor and Gus and all his loyal employees have been a staple in my life for 23 years. No matter where I moved to California, Cape Cod or Florida, whenever I came back to town I would go down to see Gus and the gang and enjoy his delicious food. My godson and me made it a habit of having pizza and wings there as much as possible when I visited. My Prayers to his family and staff. I had the pleasure of seeing him just this last visit and meeting his sons who were behind the counter just last month. I will forever cherish that moment. He was always happy and smiling and the hardest worker I have ever seen. He was always happy to see me and would come out to share kind words no matter how busy it was at the restaurant. His dream came to fruition with a sense of food and family at the Pizza Parlor. We are forever grateful for his time in our life. God Bless. Thank You Gus, you are and always have been a blessing to so many.

Our deepest sympathies to you all. Gus will be missed by so many people. He knew my family and my husband’s family. Gus was such a great friendly person and always asked about my parents. He always said hi to us and had a smile on his face. Gus made great food. It won’t be the same.

Thank you, Gus, for your caring way with my brothers, David, and especially Don. You gave Don a sense of purpose and belonging, and I know it was not always easy. Mental health has not always been an easy thing to talk about, but you showed kindness to a man who struggled his whole life with mental illness, and you were the one person, the only one person, who let him attempt to live "normal' when he could.
I am sure many people are going to miss you and your humanity. You said it wasn't much, but it gave Don a sense of belonging and a sense of purpose. You accepted him the way he was and helped him see he could be useful and do meaningful things. Most important, he had a friend in you. Thank you so much.

Gus has always been someone I’ve looked up to and admired. Countless nights of hanging out after work. Whether we were at the diner, Dunkin, my shop, his shop...it was always great advice and side-splitting laughter. He was one of a kind. A class act in every sense of the word. A loving husband and father that always spoke of his pride for Connie and the boys. He was also a wise & genuine friend/cousin. I truly am thankful for all the memories, laughs and life advice. Rest well my friend. Αιωνία σου η μνήμη.

I've known Gus for many years. My sister worked for John then Gus. When I would come to pick her up from work I was always offered anything I wanted on the menu. Both he and his dad were the best. I'm sorry that Gus passed away so young. He will be missed by many.

I truly was blessed to know Gus for over half of my adult life never a bad thing to say about a man that cared and was loved by all that knew him as customers or employee. I would say he was more of a adopted family above all else the years I spent with him in the parlors kitchen will always be remembered as good times with friends and family. Till we see u again Gus we love U brother
