

Guy G. Ali, 88, of Wethersfield and formerly of Hartford, beloved husband for almost 60 years of Antonina (Trapani) Ali, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 3, 2026. Born in Priolo, province of Siracusa, Sicily on February 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Sebastiano and Angela (Lombardo) Ali. Guy and Antonina married in 1966 and settled in Hartford, where they lived for 40 years before moving to Wethersfield over 20 years ago. He worked as a machine operator at Wiremold in West Hartford for more than 25 years. He was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. Guy enjoyed watching movies and professional soccer, especially watching his favorite team, Juventus. He was very proud of his vegetable garden and loved sharing its bounty with family and friends. More than anything, he was a devoted and loving husband, brother and uncle who cherished time spent with all his relatives.
In addition to his devoted wife Antonina, Guy will be forever missed by his brother, Paolo Gervasi and wife Lina of Wethersfield; two sisters-in-law, Maria Dana of Phoenix, AZ and Lilla Musso and husband Domenico of Monroe Township, NJ; his brother-in-law, Salvatore Trapani of Phoenix, AZ, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Mario and Alba Gervasi.
Calling hours will be Friday, July 10 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 1:30 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Entombment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
