Helen M. (day) Merrick

Helen M. (Day) Merrick, 79, of Ellington, beloved wife of the late Robert John Merrick, died Thursday, (January 19, 2006) at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home, Windsor. She was born July 21, 1926 in New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Floyd and Beatrice Day. Helen was employed by Travelers Insurance Co. retiring several years ago. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie M. Merrick of Ellington, with whom she made her home and Roberta B. Merrick of Manchester grandchildren; James ""Diamond Boy"" Shepard Jr., and his wife, Cathy, Ellen LaChance and her husband, Terry, Mary Shepard, Jeremiah ""My Jeremy"" Merrick, Jonathan ""Golden Boy"" Merrick-Sander, Amber Marino and Ashley Sander; great grandchildren, Robert, Joseph, Christopher, Taylor, Romeo, Jimmy, Anthony and Lanah. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ando ""Bronze Boy"". Funeral Service will be Monday at 12 Noon at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield with the Pastor David Bonadies officiating.
