Helen E. (dickson) Andrew

Helen E. (Dickson) Andrew, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Wethersfield, loving wife of George Andrew for 52 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, (January 4, 2008) with her family by her side. She was born in New Britain and was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Dickson. Helen was a long time faithful communicant and member of the Women's Club at Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. She will be dearly missed by her devoted family and many friends. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Bruce Andrew of Simsbury, Keith Andrew and his wife, Karla of Bowling Green, KY, Kathryn Opalenik and her husband, Stanley of Fairfield, Beth Andrew of Rocky Hill, and George S. Andrew and his wife, Susan of Holliston, MA; two sisters, Alice Reichert of Vernon, and Irene Boudreau and her husband, Lionel of Storrs; a sister-in-law, Jean Andrew of Port St. Lucie, FL; eight grandchildren, Scott, Richard and Michelle Opalenik, Kevin and Kristopher Andrew, Joshua McLaughlin, Hope, and Zachary Andrew. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 10 at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 9 from 3-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
