

Helen (Norris) McCullough, 89, of North Branford, formerly of Old Lyme and Wethersfield, wife of the late William Everett McCullough, died Wednesday, (May 1, 2013) at Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven. Born in Hartford on May 5, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Clara E. (Beck) Norris, she lived in Wethersfield for most of her life before moving to Old Lyme and later North Branford. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Richard Carlson of Old Lyme two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Lynn McCullough of Madison, and Fred and Susan McCullough of Old Lyme, her sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Gordon W. ""Rod"" Harris of Wethersfield and seven grandchildren, William and James Carlson, John, Amy, Ryan, Ross McCullough and Eric Hurd along with four great-grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Samantha and Ben. Helen was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Mary Norris and a sister Edith Norris.
The funeral is Saturday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 300 Main St., Wethersfield, with the Rev. Scott Lee officiating. Burial will be in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
