

Isaac Perez Gonzalez, of Hartford, beloved husband of 55 years to Maria Perez, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (February 27, 2013) at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 23, 1933 in Gurabo, Puerto Rico to the late Francisco and Tomasa (Gonzalez) Perez. Isaac resided in Hartford since 1959. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Tilcon Tomasso and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 559. Isaac was a longtime member of the North Spanish Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved playing his guitar, listening to classical music and reading all kinds of literature. He had a wonderful sense of humor, making anyone who crossed his path feel welcomed and loved. He will be remembered as a caring, nurturing, generous and family-oriented man of quiet strength to the end. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his wife Maria, he is survived by his three daughters, Nelida Perez, Nancy and her husband Michael Collins, and Yvonne Carrion; three granddaughters, Evelis and her husband Antonio Rosa, Shannon Carrion and Micaela Collins and four great-grandchildren, Antonio, Aniyahlis, Jayden and Alina. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nurses at St. Francis Hospital. Also, a very special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Charles Kantor for the love and support he expressed to our father. Love You Now, Love You Then, And We'll Love You Till The End.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
