

Jane Marie Sousa, 51, of Bloomfield, beloved wife of Albert Yanke, died on Saturday (September 27, 2014) at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jane was born in Hartford on September 27, 1963 and was the daughter of Charles Adams Sr. and Dorothy (Searles) Adams. In addition to working outdoors, Jane loved to paint and she especially loved the moments and memories she created with her grandchildren, particularly her ""Grandma Boo Pool Parties"". Jane was predeceased by her brother, John Sundwall and grandson, Timothy Van Duyn. Besides her husband and parents, Jane leaves behind two daughters, Amy Martino and her husband Rocco of Bristol, and Jamie Van Duyn and her husband Peter of Enfield; her sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and George Donald of Georgia and brother and sister-in-law, Charles Adams Jr. and Sue Adams of Bristol; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Andrea Sundwall of New York; sister, Karen Sundwall Castelvetere Jones of Florida; two adored grandchildren, Nicholas Martino and Ryan Van Duyn and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday (October 3) at 10 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
