

John ""Jack"" A. Milikowski, 71, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Michela ""Lina"" (Misseri), passed away on Wednesday (August 11, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, son of Anna (Zalonka) David and her husband John David of Hartford and the late Edward Milikowski, Jack lived in Hartford most of his life prior to moving to Wethersfield 10 years ago. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He worked at Royal Typewriter and Konica Business Machines for 45 years as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of the Italian-American Stars in Hartford for almost 50 years. Besides his devoted wife of 48 years, Lina, Jack is survived by his daughter Michelle Mezzio and her husband Enzo of Newington, his two grandsons John and Alex Mezzio of Newington; his brother Edward Milikowski of Enfield, his sister Ann Tardiff of Enfield, and many nieces and nephews. Jack's greatest joy in life was his family and he attended every athletic, social and spiritual event anyone was involved in. He was predeceased by a sister Rosemary Francolini. Funeral services will begin Saturday, August 14 at 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Church, 66 Bolton Street, Hartford.
