John F. Quagliano, 65, of Middletown, beloved son of the late Matteo and Francesca (Russo) Quagliano, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Born in Hartford on January 24, 1961, he had lived in the area all his life. John attended Rocky Hill High School, class of 1979 and worked in automobile sales for many years. He could be so charming and had a big heart despite all his struggles.
John will be forever missed by his daughter, Gianna Piscottano of Cromwell; his brother in law, Silvio Maratta; his cousin, Mary Joyce Quagliano of Wethersfield and his three nephews, Nicola Maratta of Manchester, Matthew Maratta of Vernon and Jason Maratta of Broad Brook, as well as many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his sister, Josephine Quagliano Maratta.
Calling hours will be Monday, April 6 from 10-11 a.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
