Jonathan P. Bedula of Wethersfield passed away on November 24, 2023. He was born in Hartford Hospital on September 11, 1961 to Stephen and Carolyn (Kilray) Bedula and spent his life in the Wethersfield community. An avid athlete, Jonathan played youth baseball and later enjoyed great success as a swimmer and tennis player at Pine Acres and Wethersfield High School. After graduating in 1979, Jonathan attended Stonehill College, Central Connecticut College and the University of Hartford, earning his Bachelor's degree and Master's in Business Administration. He worked as an analyst at Arthur A. Watson & Co., Inc. in Wethersfield. Jonathan had a gift for connecting with people by being able to talk to anyone about any subject and usually making them laugh. For twenty years, he enjoyed socializing with family and friends at the Point O'Woods cottage in Old Lyme. He was passionate about sports (especially rooting against Notre Dame), unique craft beers, movies and music. Jonathan was dedicated to keeping everyone informed about the latest happenings and buying the perfectly personalized gift, preferably a humorous one.
In addition to his mother, Jonathan is survived by his brother, Greg Bedula of Wethersfield; his sisters Alison Bedula (William Bradley) of New Canaan, CT and Jane Bedula of Basking Ridge, NJ; his uncle, John Kilray of Framingham, MA and his sister-in-law, Kathy Kelly of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
