

Jonathan Michael Mannise, CFSP, CPC, 38, of Wethersfield, formerly Berlin, beloved husband of Emily (Blair) Mannise, passed away, Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at home. Born July 3, 1977 in Manchester, he is the son of John and Terri Lee (Ouellette) Mannise of North Carolina, formerly of Ellington. Jon was a 1995 graduate of Ellington High School and a 2000 graduate of Briarwood College of Mortuary Science. He was a licensed funeral director, embalmer and preparation manager for almost 15 years with the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, Wethersfield. His dedication, skill and work ethic were unsurpassed and he earned the distinction of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner as well as Certified Pre-Planning Consultant. Jon was recently chosen as a member of the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association. He was a member of BPOE #2308, Rocky Hill and enjoyed camping, fishing, RC Racing and driving his white, mint Ford Mustang. Most of all Jon loved spending time with his family, he will be sadly missed. Besides his parents and wife Emily, Jon is survived by his four adored children, Kyler, Ryan, Ayden and Lyllian Mannise; his sister, Jill Conner and husband Brian; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louis and Debra Blair; maternal grandparents, Norman and Lois Ouellette; brother-in-law, William Blair and wife Kendall and sister-in-law, Tara Blair, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and many friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Francis and Elaine Mannise and his aunt, Janet Papa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (February 8) at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
