
Joseph ""UB"" Robert Gagnon, 76, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully Saturday (April 29, 2006) after a courageous five year battle with lung cancer. He was born November 18, 1929 in Nashua, NH the son of the late Victor and Laura (Duchesneau) Gagnon. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. army. He was retired from the Travelers Insurance Company and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He is survived by a sister Doris Gagnon of Wethersfield; five nephews and nieces, Michael Martino of Ostego, MN, Robert Martino of Glastonbury, Richard Martino of Plantation, FL, Lisa LaPoint of Southington and Lora Sawicki of Durham. Joseph is also survived by twelve great nephews and nieces whom he was always laughing with. He was predeceased by a sister Jeanne Noster. Funeral services will leave Wednesday May 3rd at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. James Church, Rocky Hill.
