Joseph N. Valente

Joseph N. Valente, 88, of Wethersfield passed away on Wednesday (October 13, 2010). He was predeceased by his wife, Angeline, whom he was married to for 64 years. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Joseph leaves his son, Thomas Valente and his wife, Florinda; a daughter, Christine DeLisa and her husband, Kenneth, and a daughter, Joanne Valente as well as six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He also leaves his brothers, Louis Valente and his wife Barbara; Peter Valente; Michael Valente and his wife Marie and his sisters, Jennie Feltman; Carolyn Brzozowy and her husband, Robert; and Rosemarie Jalbert. He was predeceased by two sisters, Josephine and Marie. Joe was employed by the A&P and upon retirement was employed by the Town of Wethersfield as a school crossing guard and Cove Park attendant. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. The D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, Wethersfield is entrusted with the arrangements.
