

Born in Hartford on January 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Albani) Ida. Josephine was a devoted wife and a mother to all, always a good listener and trusted friend. She was the quintessential homemaker. Creative and artistic by nature, she made homemaking her art and raising her children her life’s great work. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Besides her husband of 63 years, Josephine is survived by seven children, Gregory DiPrato and wife Valerie of Westport, Alan DiPrato and wife Kathryn of Rocky Hill, Michael DiPrato and wife Deborah of Orlando, FL, Mary-Jo Bronson and husband Kenneth of Glastonbury, Paul DiPrato and wife Lisa of Milford, Beth-Ann Lattanzio and husband Stephen of Wethersfield and Linda-Jean Rafferty and husband Kevin of Glastonbury and her 14 adored grandchildren, Samantha, Jessica, Allison, Lynne, Amanda, Kimberly, Matthew, Sydney, Aidan, Kerre Jo, Madilyn, Delaney, Luke and Zachary. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Dudek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (October 30) at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 3-6 at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
