Josephine L. (piacentini) Lombardo

Josephine L. (Piacentini) Lombardo, 79, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Joseph M. Lombardo, passed away Wednesday (April 21, 2010). She was born March 18, 1931 in Hartford, the daughter of the late George and Clotilde (DiGiovanni) Piacentini. Josephine enjoyed boating and the beach in Old Saybrook, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Including Joseph, her husband of 58 years, she is survived by two sons, Paul Lombardo of Rocky Hill and George Lombardo of Wethersfield; two daughters, Linda Buccheri and her husband Paul of Rocky Hill and Donna Queiros and her husband Jim of Wethersfield; a brother, Frank Centini of Cromwell; a sister, Leonora Setaro of Cromwell and six beloved grandchildren, Paul and Joseph Buccheri, James Queiros, Daniel Lombardo and Haley and Ally Lombardo. Josephine was predeceased by two brothers, Carl and Robert Piacentini and two sisters, Florence Loguidice and Theresa Petruzella. Funeral services will leave Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours are Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
