Joyce M. Riccio, 77, Windsor Locks, beloved wife of the late Thomas Riccio, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. Joyce was born in Hartford on March 28, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Wilfrid and Florence (Gregoire) Morin. Growing up in Hartford, Joyce was a graduate of Hartford Public High School. She and Thomas married and enjoyed 53 wonderful years together. Joyce loved spending time with her family at Old Colony Beach in Old Lyme where many wonderful memories were made. She also enjoyed shopping and attending auctions, estate and tag sales. Through the years Joyce was able to collect many beautiful pieces of art which decorated their home. Most of all Joyce was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her true passion in life was being with her family and she especially loved to prepare holiday and Sunday dinners for her family to enjoy. Although comforted with knowing their parents are reunited, Joyce will be sadly missed by her children, Mark Riccio of Maryland, Karen Lloyd and her husband Reed of North Granby and her two adored grandchildren Ethan and Hanna. In addition she leaves her brother Raymond Morin and her sisters, Doris Haag and Dorothy Santacroce along with many nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 4 - 5:30 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A memorial service for Joyce will follow at 5:30 p.m. after the calling hours. The family would like to thank Silvia Tokarski for her devoted care and compassion. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzeheimers Association of CT, 200 Executive Boulevard, 4B, Southington, CT 06489 or the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
