

Judith Ann (Pawlich) Socha, 57, of Cromwell, peacefully left this earth, Thursday, (April 2, 2009). Judi was the loving wife of Gary Socha for 38 years. Besides her husband, she leaves behind her beloved children, Jeffrey Socha of Falls Church, VA, Jill (Socha) Martindale and her husband, Chris of Wethersfield and Jonathan Socha and his fiancée, Alyssa Hutchinson of East Hartford. She also leaves behind a grandson, Charlie Martindale of Wethersfield, who brought her so much joy. Judi was born October 1, 1951. She was raised in Rocky Hill and shortly after High School moved to Wethersfield to raise her family where she lived for over 20 years before moving back to Rocky Hill and more recently to Cromwell. Judi was the daughter of the late Charles Pawlich, Jr. and Shirley (Farr) Pawlich. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Ruth Hayes Farr, Charles Pawlich, Sr. and Angeline Pawlich, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward Socha, Sr. and Laura (Eurto) Socha and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Edward and Carrie Socha. She was also recently predeceased by her sister, Nancy (Pawlich) Kula. Judi leaves behind to cherish the memories, her step-sister, Beth Cunningham, with whom she had a very close relationship, also her step-mother, Luella Pawlich of East Hampton. Judi was a loving, wife, mother, Grammy, aunt, godmother and friend who also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins aunts and uncles. Judi loved to travel more than anything in the world and some of her favorite memories were that of taking trips with family. Most recently she was able to see her grandson experience all the joys of Disney World and see through his eyes what a magical place it was. Judi will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, her heart of gold and the fact that she would do anything for anyone in need. Despite her challenges she faced in her life, her love for her family always remained the same. We will forever cherish her and all the wonderful memories she left behind. Although it pains us to lose her, we hope she is finally at peace and that God is holding her gently in the palm of his hands. We love you Mom!!! Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. The burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
