

Julia (Nahorny) Wysznewskyj, 92, of Wethersfield, wife of the late Michael Wysznewskyj, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016. Born in Ukraine on December 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Cemen and Motryna (Litvinchuk) Nahorny. Julia worked as an accountant for Traveler’s Insurance Company, was a parishioner of St. Volodymyr’s Orthodox Church and a member of the Ukrainian Women’s Association. She loved gardening, taking walks in nature, sunning at the beach and reading literature. A loving mother and grandmother, Julia will be missed by her daughters, Nina Vishnevska of Hawaii, Larysa Wysznewskyj and husband Peter Pylypyszyn of Newington and Miroslava Vishnevska and husband David Kinker of Oregon and her adored grandchildren, Anya and Nicholai Whiticar and Natalia and Paul Pylypyszyn. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her beloved son, George Wysznewskyj.
Calling hours will be Wednesday (June 22) from 9-11 a.m. with a Panachyda service at 10:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Bvld., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Glastonbury.
