June Phyllis (Pierce) Dobler, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the age of 85. She was born to David and Evelina Pierce on November 24, 1934 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. She leaves her husband of 57 years, Carl F. Dobler of Rocky Hill; three sons, Mark S. Dobler and wife Angela of Houston, TX, Michael K. Dobler and wife Kerry of South Windsor and Richard J. Dobler and wife Susan of Hendersonville, NC; seven grandchildren, Derek, Brittany, Daniel, Alyssa, Kyle, Karl and Cameron and her great-grandchild, Kaiden. She was predeceased by her brother, Everett Williamson. June attended Endicott College, graduating Summa Cum Laude, thereafter working as a paralegal for Bernie Francis Law Firm in Elmwood. While forever reminding everyone that she was a Cape Codder, June enjoyed travel and the wonder of Scandanavia, Ireland, the Greek islands and the Continent. Settling down in Old Wethersfield, she founded the Crewel Corner, a shop where she taught many the art of needlecraft and helped sponsor her three sons through Xavier High School. She was also a voracious reader, sharing her favorite authors with friends and neighbors. A devout Catholic, when she didn’t have a book in her hands, her rosary beads would get another workout. June’s greatest joy was having her family around her. She will always be in our hearts as we try to emulate her warmth and grace in our own lives. May God rest her soul.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (January 3) at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield.
