

Justin Donald Longo, 28, of Old Lyme, loving son of Mariann (Stifel) Vigiliante and Donald L. Longo, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 8, 2016. Born in New Britain on July 23, 1987, he lived in Old Lyme most of his life and was a graduate of Old Lyme High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Clinton. Justin loved fishing; his goal was to catch the biggest fish in the ocean. He was employed by D & L Landscaping and formerly by Dibble Construction. He will be sadly missed by his family, his many cousins, many friends and fishing buddies. Besides his parents, Justin is survived by his brother, Joseph Roberge and wife Alaina of Sterling; his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Lucy Longo of Wethersfield; maternal grandmother, Vilma Stifel of Berlin; aunts and uncles, Richie and Kim Longo of Berlin, Diane and Michael DeLorenzo of Rocky Hill, Karen Stifel and Greta Stifel, both of Berlin and Lisa Stifel of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; his godsons, Thomas and John Roberge; step niece Angelina; cousins, Rich Longo, Jr., Thomas A. Psillas and Chelsea and Haley Longo and so many more; his Uncle Phil from St. Thomas V.I.; his special friend, Christine Modifica, as well as many close friends, including Matt, Tom, Captain Justin Smith from Key West, John , David, John Jr. and Lori Wolowicz . He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, John Stifel and was also predeceased by Bonnie Buratti, who was like his second mother and Helen Wolowicz, who was like a grandmother to him.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. (Please go directly to the church) A Memorial Mass for Justin will also be celebrated Saturday, January 23 at 4 p.m. at St Mary of the Visitation Church, 54 Grove St., Clinton.
