Born in Hartford to the late Pasquale and Anne (Olenick) Seio, Kenneth lived a life grounded in love for family, community, and simple joys. He was a dedicated manager at General Printing Ink, retiring after 44 years of loyal service. In later years, he worked at Bliss market and took pride in serving as a Newington crossing guard.
Kenny was a quiet man who embraced the small pleasures in life, whether relaxing on his deck surrounded by nature, hand-feeding chipmunks, or reading his newspaper at the river. He spent many fun mornings fishing with his cousins, always anticipating opening season. He was an avid UConn Women’s Basketball fan and rarely missed a game. He had a particular fondness for his shows, NCIS and Yellowstone, especially when there was a marathon weekend. He never missed his cherished granddaughter’s events, always happy to celebrate the successes of others. Above all, family was the heart of Kenny’s world.
In addition to his wife, Joanna, he leaves his daughters, Kimberly Cianci (Jim) and Heather Giangrave (Paul); son, Kenneth Todd Seio and granddaughter, Gianna Giangrave. He also leaves his sister, Valerie Bernier (Norman) as well as in-laws, William Schaufler, Phillip, Roseann, Marybeth, George and Carol Pappa. He was predeceased by Francis Pappa, Frances Schaufler, and his beloved yorkie, Marcello.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating his life on Friday, June 27 for a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a prayer service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
