

Kenneth W. Watson, 81, of Wethersfield, passed away at home on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Born in Hartford on October 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Harold and Betty (Henderson) Watson and lived his whole life in Wethersfield, attending schools in town and graduating from Avon Old Farms. Ken served proudly in the U.S. Navy and worked training cadets with the U. S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps in Groton for 30 years. He worked for the State of CT Department of Transportation for many years. Ken drove only BMWs and was a longtime member of the BMW Car Club of America. He enjoyed summering at his camp on Moosehead Lake in Maine with his boat, Kilo. Ken is survived by his brother, H. Kirk Watson and wife Tracy of South Glastonbury; his sister, Terrie Peterson and husband Pete of Needham, MA; his foster son, Daniel Lee Cowen of Wethersfield and his sister-in-law, Beth Watson of Wethersfield. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Robert Weston.
There will be calling hours on Friday (October 20) from 1-3 p.m. concluding with a service at 3 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
