Leila Sergobin, 69, beloved wife of Reverend Pastor Calvin Sergobin, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2021. Leila was born on January 10, 1952, in Guyana, South America and was the daughter of Sahodra Singh and the late Suruj Persaud. Leila and Reverend Calvin married on November 21,1969. Together they also formed The Independent Church of Redeeming Grace. Leila and her husband knew the importance of family and worked diligently to get their family here from Guyana so they could all be together making wonderful memories. Leila enjoyed traveling, reading her bible, singing her hymns, participating in compassionate ministries, being a Sunday school teacher and secretary for the church. She will especially be remembered for always being devoted to her family and her loving kindness. She especially enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren. Leila was a true inspiration to all who knew her. Remembering Aunty Shiela - Leila Sergobin.

She was known to us as the ever pleasant, humble , smiling, jovial, loving and beautiful Aunty Sheila. Many thanks to her for paving the way for us so that we can have a better life over here in the USA 🇺🇸 It seems so unbelievable that she is no longer on this side of eternity. Heaven has gained another Archangel.🕊❤️🤗 Our hearts are saddened and grieved by her passing but our grief is greater still when we think of the pain that Paul and Diane and their families are feeling and even more so her loving husband Uncle Calvin. As a Reverend he comforted others in their time of grief and sorrow so we rally around him, his children and grandchildren and all the loved ones as we express our heartfelt and sincerest condolences.
Aunty Sheila was always the one who attended every family function, greeted you with the biggest smile and the tightest & warmest hug.
People tell you that time heals all wounds but having to say goodbye to someone you love, leaves an ache in your soul that never heals completely - time only makes a bridge over the chasm in the heart; a bridge that allows you to move over the pain so you can carry on without them. We know that the beautiful memories will live on long after we say our goodbyes and we pray for the comfort and peace of God to be yours so you can get through this and carry on.
Abide with me - in life and in death, Oh Lord, Abide with me. From all of us . Sister Cilla, Joe , Debbie,Ray , Aliena ,Brian ,Markie , Joey , Carol and our entire Seegobin’s family. Sail on our inspirational , Stunning, charismatic, and God like Aunty Sheila . We will forever miss you 🥰 and will cherish all precious memories shared with you ! Go soar high in Heaven Sweet heart ❤️. ❤️🥰😢😢🤗🙏🏼😇🕊💐❤️
