Leonard Anthony Caruso, age 84, of Summerfield Florida, (formally of Wethersfield) passed away on October 3, 2018 in Wildwood Florida. Leonard was born on May 17, 1934 to the late Frank and Antoinette (Casoria) Caruso in Hartford, Connecticut. Lenny moved from Connecticut to Florida in 1990. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He had many business ventures throughout his lifetime. Lenny’s passion for animals led to him and his wife Pat spending much of their time fostering, caring for and adopting elderly and disabled dogs. Leonard is survived by his children Brenda (Scott) Larkin of Rocky Hill, Lorraine (Lou) Orsini of Kensington, Michael (Donna) Caruso of Rocky Hill and Leslie Boyko of Newington along with his eight grandchildren; J.T. and Kevin Larkin, Liz and Louie Orsini, Jake and Matt Caruso and Brianna and Lindsey Boyko. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Lenny is predeceased by his siblings and his wife Patricia Garey-Caruso.
A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday October 20th from 10-11 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, CT. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, burial will immediately follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
