

Linda Dubois, 71, of Newington, beloved wife for 17 years of the late Herman Dubois, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Born in Hartford on November 24, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Pender) Breton. Linda grew up in Hartford and graduated from South Catholic High School, where she then attended secretarial school. Linda worked as the Executive Legal Assistant to the Chief Justice for the Connecticut Supreme Court for 44 years, retiring in 2017. She shared her love through baking, gardening, helping others, and had a delightfully silly sense of humor. She found great joy in shopping and even greater joy in spending time with her family, particularly on their travels and gatherings together.
Linda will be forever missed by her two children, Brian Dubois of Newington and Jacqueline (Dubois) Marques and husband Ruben Marques of Wethersfield; her sister, Gisele Bosse of Rocky Hill, as well as many extended family members and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was predeceased by her sister, Jeannine Boudreau.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 9 from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 10 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation of Christ the King Parish, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield.
