We share with deep sorrow the loss of Lisa “Lee” Mary Weber Gibbons, 63, of Glastonbury, CT, who passed away on July 4th, 2026, due to a swift and unexpected progression of cancer. She was born on July 6th, 1962, to the late Paula Gallo Weber and Frederick Weber Sr., and grew up in Rocky Hill, CT.
Lisa grew up in a loving family in Rocky Hill, where she, her brother, and two sisters spent their days creating memories filled with laughter, mischief, and togetherness. She graduated from Rocky Hill High School, where she discovered a lifelong passion for soccer—a sport she continued to play well into her early 40s. After working for many years at CBT Bank, she met her husband, Robert Gibbons. They were married on June 28, 1991, and shared 35 years of steady, unwavering love. Throughout their marriage, they worked side by side, building not only a family but also a successful plumbing company from the basement of their previous home.
Lisa’s deep passion for history led her to study at UConn for a time, but her greatest devotion was always to her family. She poured her heart into raising and supporting her husband and children, forever placing their happiness above all else. Renowned for her warmth, generosity, and compassion, Lisa was quick to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. The photos of St. Jude children lovingly taped to her office desk served as daily reminders of her unwavering selflessness. Animals of every kind were drawn to her gentle spirit—dogs, cats, horses, birds—she welcomed them all, finding true joy in their companionship. Her gardens, vibrant and carefully tended, reflected her nurturing soul. Potted plants fill every corner of her kitchen and living room, while lilacs, pansies, daisies, and other blooms flourish outside in her yard. At Lake Winnipesaukee in NH—her cherished sanctuary—she found her deepest peace, savoring quiet mornings on the back porch with a cup of coffee and her beloved husband by her side.
In addition to her husband, Robert, Lisa leaves behind her three children: Samantha; Charles and his partner, Lexie Palmer; and Angie and her fiancé, Trae Mikus. She is also survived by two siblings, Frederick Weber and his wife, Lisa, and Beth Bonetti and her husband, James; two uncles, Richard and Michael Gallo; her brother-in-law, Thomas Nevico Sr., husband of Susan; nine nieces and nephews, including Thomas Nevico Jr. and his wife, Jessica; Melissa Palma and her husband, Vinny; Freddy Weber Jr.; Devan Brown and her husband, William; Kelsey, Erin, and Jake Weber; Gabriella B. Barbarick and her husband, Dylan; and Samuel Bonetti; and eight adorable great-nieces and nephews. On her husband's side: Chari Stickland and her husband, Davie; Cathy Hettinger and her children, Chris, Nick, and Annie; Carol Gibbons; Richard Gibbons, his wife Heather, and their three children, Boone, Holly, and Gracie; Roger Gibbons and his wife, Donna; Russel Gibbons; and Crissi Gibbons, her husband, Greg, and their son, Morgan.
Lisa was preceded by her mother, father, and sister, Susan Nevico; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Barbara Gibbons; and her sisters-in-law, Lori Benigar and Angela Gibbons.
As someone who absolutely adored Winnie the Pooh, she loved the quote, "If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart; I'll stay there forever." To which we can respond wholeheartedly with another quote from Winnie the Pooh, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 227 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Isidore and Maria at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Friends and family are kindly asked to arrive by 9:45 a.m. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill.
Expressions of sympathy in Lisa’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the ASPCA, or your local animal shelter.
