

Louis A. Rossi, 80, of Wethersfield died Thursday (January 19, 2011) at Hartford Hospital. He was born February 24, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York and was the son of the late Emilio and Marietta (Scotellaro) Rossi. Louis was a graduate of Weaver High School, class of 1947 and he served in the Army National Guard with the rank of Lieutenant. He was a stock broker for the former Cooley & Company on Pearl Street in Hartford for many years, retiring several years ago. He was an avid reader. He is survived by his brother, Anthony Rossi and wife, Rose of Wethersfield; three nieces, Emma Russell and husband, James of Cape Cod, MA, Mary Campbell and husband, David of Lancaster, MA and Rita Conklin and husband, Brian of Montville, as well as several grand nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Nina Piccolo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday (January 24) at 12 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Please go directly to the church. The burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
