

Louise (Holmes) Cox Dumond, 88, of Manchester, loving wife of the late Joseph Dumond, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 1, 2016. Born on November 13, 1927 in Winchendon, MA, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Elizabeth (Browne) Holmes. Louise attended nursing school at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. She was a Registered Nurse at Avery Heights, Hartford as well as several other hospitals throughout her long and dedicated career. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Louise will be dearly missed by her three children, Carolyn Keleher and husband Bob of Manchester with whom she made her home, Raymond W. Cox, III and wife Nancy Foye-Cox of Ohio and James R. Cox of RI; seven adored grandchildren, Ralph, Robert, Rebecca, Geoffrey, Randall, Kiera and Caelyn and seven cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Holmes and wife Donna of TX; two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Hession of Meriden and Helen Williams of AR, as well as several nieces and nephews. Louise was sadly predeceased by her beloved daughter, Elizabeth A. Cox; one sister and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday (February 6) at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of Christ, 250 Main Street, Wethersfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Louise’s memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
