Luciano "Lou" Porrino

Luciano “Lou” Porrino, 57, of Vernon, beloved husband for 29 years of Susan (Burke) Porrino, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Born in Sepino, Italy on December 31, 1967, he was the loving son of Filomena (Arienzale) Porrino Bellizzi of Wethersfield and the late Donato Porrino. Lou came to the U.S. with his family when he was three years old and they settled in Hartford. He graduated from Bulkeley High School and worked at Plimpton & Hills as a shipping and receiving clerk. Lou suffered congestive heart failure in 2011, forcing him to take an early “retirement”. Since then, he has struggled with his health but lived life to the fullest. He loved watching professional wrestling (WWE), cooking, going to the beach and taking care of his cats, especially his Luna girl. More than anything, he was a devoted family man who was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones.

In addition to his wife of almost 30 years and his mother, Lou will be forever missed by his two adored children, Anthony Porrino of Vernon and Alyssa Porrino of South Windsor; three brothers, Libero Porrino and wife Rosaria of Sicily, Michael Porrino and wife Emma of Wethersfield, and Danny Porrino of Portland; his in-laws, JoAnn and Bert Martin; sister-in-law, Nicole Lindgren and her husband John, Billy Burke and partner Monica Auclair; nieces and nephews, Danny and Summer Porrino, Ethan and Gavin Porrino, Christian Porrino, Ashley (Burke) Cole, Jamie (Burke) Piechota and Courtney Burke, JT and Madelyn Lindgren, as well as many other special cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to his father, Lou was also predeceased by his stepfather, Giovanni Bellizzi.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 1 from 4-6:30 p.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Burial will be private.
