

Lucy Rose (Randazzo) Odell, 91, passed away on Monday, (October 7, 2013). She was the wife of the late George F. Odell. She was born in Hartford to the late Paul and Camelina (Miano) Randazzo. Lucy worked for H.J. Heinz in Hartford where she met her husband George. She also worked for both the Town of Wethersfield and the Wethersfield Board of Education, retiring to enjoy her family, reading, gardening, cooking and many vacation trips with her daughter and daughter-in-law. After retirement, she worked at Luettgens Limited and took water exercise classes which kept her active all through her later years. She loved watching old VHS movies with her beloved dog Scooter on her lap. She is survived by her son, George of Wethersfield; her daughter, Barbara and her wife Jan of Santa Fe, NM; her sister, Josephine Listro; her sister-in-law, Ann Randazzo and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Salvatore and Sebastian; sister-in-law, Marie and brother-in-law, Santo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made in Lucy's name to the Wethersfield Public Library, 515 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, CT 06109.
