Manuel C. Andrade

Manuel C. Andrade, 90, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of the late Filomena (Tavares) Andrade, passed away Wednesday (May 2, 2012). He was born April 12, 1922 in Santa Maria, Acores, Portugal, son of the late Benardino Joaquim Andrade and Filomena Cabral Chaves. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima and before his retirement Manuel was employed at Aetna Life Insurance Company. He is survived by his large and loving family, his nine children and their spouses: Maria and Jose Chaves of Hudson, MA, Jose and Celestina Andrade of Hudson, MA, Iberia and Antonio Freitas of Wethersfield, Elvira Rego of Hudson, MA, Rosa and Antonio Chaves of Taunton, MA, Antonio and Ilda Andrade of Hudson, MA, Ernesto and Isabel Andrade of Leandro, CA, Natalia and Jose Chaves of Hudson, MA, and Alfredo and Donna Andrade of Manchester; 14 beloved grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson William Freitas, a son-in-law David Rego, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will leave Saturday May 5, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are TODAY from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
