Marcia Ann LaPorte

Marcia Ann LaPorte, 71, of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Born December 6, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (Ryan) LaPorte. Marcia was a graduate of Wethersfield High School. Prior to her retirement in 1998, Marcia was employed for many years as a clerical administer with the State of Connecticut. She loved Denny’s Restaurant, reading and traveling, which included many cruises she took with her friends. She was also a member of the Wethersfield Senior Center. Marcia is survived by her cousins, Linda Bouchard and her husband John of Vernon, Cheryl Gauvin and her husband Charlie of Vernon, Diane McMillan and her husband Dave of Rutherfordton, NC, Richard LaPorte and his wife Suzanne of Chesterfield, VA, Arthur Breault and his wife Theresa of Arizona City, AZ and Stella Tessier, wife of the late Gaston of Burlington, VT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 16, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Parish (Corpus Christi Church), 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning, prior to the Mass, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
