Margery Elizabeth Dungan (Graves)

Margery Elizabeth (Graves) Dungan, of Hartford, left us peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, surrounded by her family at the wonderful age of 95. She was the daughter of the late Louis Graves and Jennie (Halstead) Graves and the wife of the late Francis Burns Dungan who predeceased her in 2003. She was also predeceased by her sister June O'Keefe, brother Louis Graves and infant granddaughter Beth DiCioccio. Marge and Frankie had five children: Barbara Ciccaglione, Carol and husband Greg DiCioccio, Frances and husband John Mastro, John F. Dungan and Jan White. She leaves nine grandchildren, Donna & Dominic Maselli, Ray Ciccaglione, Jay Ciccaglione, Lisa Reilly, Eric White, Jody and husband Robert Francis, Tara Henderson, Lori Davis, Gregory and wife Johanna Dicioccio, 10 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, who cherished their fun times with their grandma, and several nieces and nephews. Marge was employed by H.A.R.C. of Hartford for many years and made friendships with her disabled clients that lasted through the time of her death. Marge loved socializing and enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and was a wiz at setback. In later years she enjoyed playing bingo and pokeno. Her fondest memories were of pool parties and cookouts at her home with her family and friends. In 2008, Marge moved to Ellis Manor in Hartford where she made a new circle of friends. Many thanks to Eric Dana and his staff for the wonderful care and fond memories that they provided to Marge. Special thanks to the Masonicare Hospice team for their assistance in keeping Marge comfortable in her last days. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Ellis Manor Recreation Fund, 210 George Street, Hartford, 06114. Marge loved winning her quarters at bingo and pokeno and we hope that her memory can continue to give other residents pleasure. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 10 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
