Maria 'Josephine' Giuseppa Peluso, 88, of Rocky Hill, formerly of Hartford, died peacefully, Friday (February 6, 2009). She was born March 20, 1920 in Sepino, province of Campobasso, Italy and was the daughter of the late Michael and Christina (Valente) Peluso. Maria was a seamstress at the former Coracci Dress Co. for many years. She is survived by her son, Peter Pietraroia and his wife, Bernadette of Rocky Hill; two brothers, Domenico Peluso of Hartford and Angelo Pelsuo of Youngstown, OH; and a grandson, Mario Pietraroia and his wife, Alyson of East Hartford. Maria was predeceased by two sisters, Filomena and Marialibera. Funeral services will leave Monday, February 9, at 8:30 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd, Wethersfield for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, Rocky Hill.
