

Maria E. Robles, 91, of East Hartford, beloved wife of the late Daniel Alvarado Balarezo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Born in Lima, Peru on March 20, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Victor Robles and Maria Rosales. Maria came to the U.S. in 1995 She devoted her life to raising her family and was happiest when they were all together.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maria will be forever missed by her six children, Felix Samuel Alvarado and wife Esperanza of Lima, Peru, Mercedes Alvarado, Maria Alvarado and husband Americo, Wilfredo D. Alvarado, Daniel Samuel Alvarado, and Daniel Alvarado and his wife Julie, all of East Hartford; 15 adored grandchildren and 17 cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her ten siblings, Catalina, Rufina, Sebastiana, Clemencia and Ricardo Chavez Rosales, and Augusto, Gelacio, Oswaldo, Nelly and Thomas Robles Rosales, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her siblings, Berta Vicuña and Teresa Chavez; Andres and Jorge Chavez and Victor, Raul, Teodoro, Raquel, Lucio and Edgardo Robles Rosales. Special thanks to Maria’s daughter-in-law, Julie Alvarado, who was very caring to her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 23 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 79 New Park Avenue, Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.
