Marie (D'Angelo) Brooks

Marie (D’Angelo) Brooks, 87, of Rocky Hill and formerly East Hartford, beloved wife for 50 years of the late Charles Brooks, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Marie was born in Pratola Peligna, province of L’Aquila, Italy on April 29, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Franco and Giovanna (DiCioccio) D’Angelo. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marie will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Diane Brown and husband Peter of East Hartford and Denise Roscio of Old Saybrook; her three adored grandchildren, Sarah Ravetto and husband Matt, Meghan DiLoreto and husband Michael and Mark Roscio and wife Adrianna and five cherished great-grandchildren, Izzy, Kaitlyn, Gianna, Anthony and Mark. She also leaves her brother, Anthony “Vinnie” D’Angelo and wife Lina; her sister, Julie Scalzo and husband Joseph and her brother-in-law, Salvatore Malinguaggio. In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was predeceased by her sister, Carmela Malinguaggio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday (January 31) at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 767 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
