On 1/1/2024, the angels came down from Heaven with open arms to bring Marion “Min” (Buccino) Guerrera home surrounded by love. Born on April 1, 1922 in Hartford to Antonio and Giovannina “Jennie” Buccino, she was the eldest of four children. Min lived in the greater Hartford area all her life and spent the last seven years living with her daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and John Namnoum. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Antonio Guerrera; her siblings, Angelina Bilotta, Rose Ciampa, Thomas Buccino and their respective spouses, Alfred Bilotta, Joseph Ciampa and Irma Buccino. She was also predeceased by her nephew, Joseph Ciampa, Jr. and a very special great-niece, Lindsay Presz Barrett.
Min is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and John Namnoum; two special nieces whom she regarded as her two additional children, Carla Presz and Gina Zappulla and their respective husbands, Steve Presz and Rob Zappulla. She is also survived by a very special great-niece, Stephanie McKenna, her husband TJ, along with her great-great-nephew, Landen Presz who put a sparkle in her eyes and always made her smile, as well as additional nieces, nephews and cousins, in addition to extended family, Liz, Joe and David Dickman.
The two most important things in her life were her faith and her family. She had boundless love for both. She immensely enjoyed the countless gatherings and vacations with family. Min’s heart was filled with kindness, love, and compassion; she was truly an angel on earth.
She was blessed with a long and happy life, and one of her most cherished memories was turning 100 where she was queen for a day, along with a surprise parade in her honor. She will be missed beyond words. There is nothing greater than a mother’s love.
Good night and pleasant dreams Mom, I love you!
Very special thanks to Eileen Markowski with VNHSC for her kind and compassionate care during the final days. With sincere gratitude to John, Carla and Stephanie for their unwavering support, love, and care during this journey.
