

Marion Elizabeth Kniep, 65, of Hartford, beloved wife of George Yonan, passed away Saturday, (June 11, 2011). She was born September 11, 1945 in Hartford, the daughter of the late George and Arlene (Hooper) Kniep. Marion graduated from Hartford High School with the class of 1963. She went on to work for Travelers Insurance Company, and prior to retiring in 2007, she was employed by Israel Bonds in West Hartford. Marion was a big music lover and enjoyed tending to her plants, playing cards, and caring for her cat Moe. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Including her husband George, Marion is survived by her brothers and sister, Arthur Kniep and wife Kay of Harrisville, MI, Carol Moskey of Farmington, Richard Kniep and wife Carol of Enfield, Edward Kniep and wife Eileen of Wales, MA, Robert Kniep and wife Stefania of Andover, and Thomas Kniep of Colchester. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Marion was predeceased by two brothers, George L. Kniep and Fred Kniep and a sister Jean Rogers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday (June 15, 2011) at 11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.
