

Mary Jo-Anne (Pannone) Parker, 56, of Rocky Hill and formerly Farmington, loving wife for 32 years of William O. Parker, Jr., passed away Tuesday (July 31, 2012). Born on Dec. 30, 1955 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Armento and Antonietta (Marrocco) Pannone. Mary was an Athlete of the Year in field hockey and volleyball at Farmington High and a graduate of Central Connecticut State University. She was employed by CSC in East Hartford as an Executive Assistant and Training Coordinator. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her three devoted children, her son Patrick Parker and his wife Jessica of Bristol; daughters Melissa Podkowka and her husband Jonathan of Woodbridge, VA and Rebecca Grimm and her husband Matthew of Vienna, VA; her two adored granddaughters, Kaleigh and Charlotte Podkowka; her brothers, John P. Gravalec-Pannone and his wife Kathleen of Colchester, and Joseph Pannone and his wife Jane of Farmington; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Bernadette (Przywara) Parker of Bristol; her brothers-in-law, Gregory Parker and his wife Donna and Douglas Parker and his wife JoAnn; sister-in-law, Deborah Drew and her husband James, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in SS Cyril & Methodius Church, 63 Popieluszko Court, Hartford. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
