

Michael Angelo DeLorenzo, 80, of New Britain, longtime companion of Connie Hamilton, died Wednesday, (June 1, 2011). Born on May 29, 1931 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Rocco A. and Assunta (GiaQuinto) DeLorenzo and was a lifelong resident of Greater Hartford. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corps serving during the Korean conflict. Mike graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy and worked for many years as a Pharmacist until his retirement. He was a member of the Connecticut Pharmacy Association, the U.S. Army Veterans, Kappa PSI and the South Windsor Elks Club. Michael was a giving person, best known for his kind and gentle nature. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Besides his beloved Connie, who was totally devoted to him, Mike is survived by two sons, Michael Allen DeLorenzo and his wife Missy of St. Michael, MN and Christopher John DeLorenzo and his wife Stacy of Apex, NC; a daughter, Maria Baird and her husband Don of Palmdale, CA; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, James DeLorenzo, a brother, Joseph William DeLorenzo and a sister, Grace Forte.
Funeral service will be Monday (June 6) at 11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Family and friends may call on Monday from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be private at the convenience of the family.
