Michael John Petrella, 59, of Wethersfield, beloved father, son, brother, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Michael was born, October 8, 1965, and was raised in Glen Cove, L.I.N.Y. Michael is the son of Doris (Nesky) Petrella, and the late Anthony Petrella; he was the youngest of five brothers, Anthony, Christopher, and the late Manny and Billy Petrella. He was a loving father to Isabella and Gianna, and is survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children, Donnalynn Notaro.
Michael had a long career in sales and was employed for the last five years with Aiello Home Services as a Sales Manager. Michael found great joy both in his work and with his Aiello family. Michael was a loyal member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 2202 in Glastonbury, where he made many friends and enjoyed the brotherhood and sisterhood of his fellow Lodge family. Michael was a devoted parishioner at the Church of the Incarnation of Christ the King Parish, Wethersfield. He was a lifelong New York Yankee, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguin fan, and he enjoyed UCONN basketball especially during March Madness. Michael also took advantage of every opportunity to hit the golf course and was a diehard country music fan who threw the best tailgates.
Always the life of the party, Michael had the ability to make anybody laugh, his outgoing and fun-loving personality allowed him to connect with everyone. Michael knew how to make anyone feel comfortable, using his humor to bond with others. He was a dedicated friend, and he considered many of his friends to be family.
Most important to Michael were his family and friends, most especially his daughters Isabella and Gianna. There is comfort in knowing that he is reunited with Gianna, and that Isabella will have two Guardian Angels watching over her always.
