Michele Michael Sbriglio

Michele ""Michael"" Sbriglio, 77, of Wethersfield, loving husband for 53 years of Paula (Pirruccio) Sbriglio, passed away peacefully on Monday (November 19, 2012) at Hartford Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Canicattini Bagni, province of Siracusa, Sicily on September 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Cesere and Angela (Aliano) Sbriglio. Michael worked for 42 years as a mason for Pantano Contractors. He was a member of the Canicattinese Society in Hartford. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards and dancing, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife Paula, he is survived by his two daughters, Sandy and Angela Sbriglio, both of Wethersfield; two brothers, Nino Aliano and his wife Maria and Salvatore Aliano and his wife Concetta, all of Paterson, NJ; his sister, Santina Aliano of Sicily and many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the mass, from 9-10:30 a.m., at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
